Visit us at our new location in McCordsville!

We believe great care starts with great communication, and that includes being upfront about costs and how we handle insurance.

We choose people over paperwork. And we think you’ll feel the difference.

COSTS OF CARE - private pay

Our decision not to bill insurance directly means we’re free to do what matters most:

  • Take our time.
  • Get to know your whole story.
  • Create a care plan that’s made for you, not just what your insurance allows.

By choosing to operate independently, we get to spend more time with each woman, listen without rushing, and offer care that’s truly comprehensive.

We’re a private pay (out-of-network) practice that doesn’t bill insurance directly, and that’s on purpose.

Questions Our Patients Ask...

UNSURE ABOUT SOMETHING?

We know that private pay healthcare can feel like a leap if you’re used to medical offices billing insurance on your behalf. If you’re unsure whether our payment model will work for you, reach out.

Do you accept insurance?

We don’t bill any insurance providers directly, but most of our patients do receive partial reimbursement through their PPO or out-of-network coverage. We’ll provide a detailed superbill you can submit to your insurer.

Can I use my HSA or FSA card?

Yes! Most services at EmpowerHER are HSA/FSA eligible.

How do I submit a superbill to my insurance?

It’s easier than you think. After your visit, we’ll give you an itemized receipt (a superbill) with all the codes your insurance company needs. You’ll submit that to your insurance provider—often through an app or online portal.

How do I know if my plan offers out-of-network reimbursement?

The best way to find out is to call the number on the back of your insurance card and ask:
"Do I have out-of-network benefits for preventive or specialty care? What percentage is reimbursed?"

What if I have Medicaid or Medicare?

Due to Federal Regulations, we are unable to provide care for those who have state-sponsored healthcare coverage. We’re sorry!

Is EmpowerHER the right fit for me if I need ongoing care?

Yes! Many of our patients come to us for long-term support, whether it’s managing menopause, improving mental health, or feeling more confident in their body. Because we don’t rely on insurance, we can offer longer visits, quicker communication, and more personalized care every step of the way.
